CAN CARBASSERES is an ancient bakery specialized in baking of “Coca de llardons” (cake based with
pork scratching and pine kernels amongst other products) and the “Tortell adobat de matafaluga” (round aniseed marinated cake, with a hole in the middle).
The bread, the “coca” and the “tortell” are products made with traditional methods. Since 1892, the family has known to keep up the fathers and sons tradition. Today is the fourth generation working in this baker's craft.
Both the “coca” and the “tortell” are two products very representative about the gastronomy of the city of Olot and surroundings.
